Factory performance has to be sustained on every planet. If it drops below 100%, all buildings on the planet will have reduced efficiency. That means lower yield from mines, research buildings, smaller capacity of factories and barracks. If the performance drops below 98%, Hi-tech buildings cease to work.
Limiting factors for factory performance:
- Insufficient power generation – you need to have enough power plants to power all structures on the planet
- Not enough workers – enough inhabitants have to be present on the planet
